Trail Description

Ensley Township Nature Preserve is a 40-acre preserve with 1.3 miles worth of trail. The nature preserve is just south of Ensley Center. The trails are not long and not too strenuous. The trails contain little hills and they do not make much of a difference in the hike. Each trail is has different designated colors and is named after a specific animal. The animal is on a wooden plaque, which you will find a lot of them on the trail that you decide. The longest trail takes you by three bogs and has an overlook of one of the bogs. The trail is completely in the woods, which allows you to stay out of the warm sun. It is nice to have a picnic after or before your walk around the preserve. The kids will enjoy it because there is a playground and lots of open space to run around.
